Frontend Software Engineer - Process Management
Build intuitive BPMN workflow tools with React and TypeScript. Join Corporater’s global engineering team to shape scalable visualization experiences for enterprise users worldwide.
About Corporater
Corporater is a global enterprise software company helping large organizations manage governance, performance, risk, compliance, and business processes through a connected business management platform.
As we continue to evolve our global product, Corporater India is building a strong Product Engineering organization focused on scalable, high-quality product development and customer outcomes.
About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join the team building Process Manager, a strategic platform that enables customers to model, automate, and govern business processes.
You will help build the BPMN-based modeling experience that powers workflow automation across enterprise customers. This role combines complex frontend engineering, advanced visualization, workflow modeling, and deep product collaboration. You will work on challenging problems in diagram rendering, interactive canvas design, and real-time collaboration features that make complex process modeling accessible and intuitive for enterprise users.
What You Will Do
● Develop BPMN modeling capabilities and workflow design experiences using diagram-js, BPMN.io, and custom visualization libraries.
● Build interactive canvas features including drag-and-drop interactions, palettes, property panels, overlays, and context menus for process visualization.
● Implement complex SVG-based diagram rendering with performance optimization for large, intricate process models.
● Design and build workflow visualization features that make enterprise process automation accessible and intuitive.
● Develop frontend solutions using React, TypeScript, GraphQL with Apollo Client, Redux Toolkit, and Styled Components.
● Build reusable component libraries and visualization primitives for process modeling.
● Optimize frontend performance for handling large process definitions and complex diagram manipulations.
● Write automated unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and specialized testing patterns for diagram interactions.
● Contribute to frontend modernization initiatives and evaluate evolution of the React and GraphQL stack.
● Participate in architecture and code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
● Work closely with Product Managers, backend engineers, designers, architects, and other frontend engineers on the team.
● Participate in discovery, evaluate design alternatives, and bring technical trade-offs and practical solutions to complex product challenges.
● Take ownership of user experience quality, performance, and accessibility in the process modeling environment.
What We Are Looking For
Must Have
● Strong hands-on React and TypeScript experience (4+ years with production systems).
● Experience building production frontend applications at scale.
● Solid understanding of SVG, canvas manipulation, and performance optimization for complex visualizations.
● Experience with state management solutions (Redux Toolkit, MobX, or similar).
● Strong testing discipline with Jest, React Testing Library, and integration testing.
● Experience with GraphQL or REST API integration and working with backend engineers.
● Proficiency with CSS and component styling approaches (CSS-in-JS, Styled Components, or similar).
● Experience building complex, interactive UI components and maintaining clean frontend architecture.
● Strong understanding of browser performance and optimization techniques.
Nice to Have
● Experience with diagram libraries (diagram-js, BPMN.io, Mxgraph, Cytoscape, or similar).
● Experience building visual/diagramming tools or collaborative editing features.
● Knowledge of BPMN, workflow modeling, or business process automation concepts.
● Experience optimizing SVG rendering and handling large-scale data visualizations.
● Apollo Client or similar GraphQL client library experience.
● Experience with React Router and complex SPA navigation patterns.
● Accessibility (a11y) experience and familiarity with enterprise software requirements.
● Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to open-source projects.
How We Work
We are building self-organising Product Teams, not order-taking engineering teams.
We look for engineers who:
● Start with the customer/business problem rather than simply implementing a specification.
● Bring solution options and explain technical trade-offs.
● Participate in discovery before the solution is fixed.
● Challenge scope, sequencing, and technical decisions constructively.
● Take ownership and do not wait to be assigned tasks.
● Care about the customer and business outcome behind the technology.
● Share knowledge, review code, mentor others, and continuously raise the engineering bar.
